Reforestation Project

In the year 2025, in alignment with our commitment with our commitment to sustainability and environmental preservation, our company promoted the planting of 625 carnauba tree (Copernicia prunifera) seedlings on a 1-hectare plot, spaced 4 x 4, in a registered settlement in the municipality of Miraíma, Ceará state. This was in partnership with the Caatinga Association and the Sustainable Carnaúba project.

The initiative aims to contribute to the conservation of the Caatinga, a uniquely Brazilian biome that plays a strategic role in national biodiversity and faces growing challenges related to degradation and desertification.

The carnauba tree, a symbolic species of Ceará and known as the 'tree of life', is of great economic, social, and cultural importance. Carnauba wax, extracted from its leaves, is a renewable, high-value input used in various industrial sectors and generates income for thousands of families in the region. As it is a protected species, its preservation and cultivation are essential to guarantee the sustainability of the carnauba market and the maintenance of responsible production practices.

In addition to strengthening the local economy and preserving biodiversity, the project also brings direct environmental benefits, such as reducing the carbon footprint, protecting soil from erosion, and promoting regional water balance.

With this initiative, we reaffirm our vision that the business development of Carnaúba do Brasil must go hand in hand with social and environmental responsibility, ensuring that our activities generate not only economic value, but also social and environmental value, benefiting current and future generations.
